In the Darkness is a series of artworks created during a season of melancholy and deep reflection, following the end of a relationship that I felt had been quietly eating away at me.

It was a period where I felt caught between darkness and light. I felt myself being led down a path that was becoming increasingly self-destructive, while simultaneously fighting to remain in the light.

I was forced to look inward and sit with the parts of myself I had avoided, questioning the ways I loved, what I tolerated, what led me into this, and why. More than anything, I sought protection in God to lead me back to my light.
